How should I prepare for my Brazilian wax?
For best results, hair should be at least ¼ inch long — approximately the length of a grain of rice. Please do not shave or trim before your appointment; if trimming is needed, I can take care of it. Shower the day of your appointment if possible and arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotions, or oils in the area being waxed. Gently exfoliate about 24 hours before your appointment and wear loose, comfortable clothing afterward.
How long does a Brazilian wax take?
Most Brazilian wax appointments take approximately 20–30 minutes. First-time appointments may take a little longer so we can go at a comfortable pace, discuss the process, and answer any questions. Comfort comes before speed.
I’m nervous about my first Brazilian. Is that normal?
Absolutely! Many first-time clients are nervous. I’ll explain the process, check in with you throughout your appointment, and make sure you know what to expect. My studio is a judgment-free, plus-size-friendly space where every body is welcome.
Can everyone be waxed?
Waxing works well for many skin and hair types, but certain medications, topical skincare products, recent skin treatments, or irritated or sunburned skin may make waxing unsuitable for a particular area. Please let me know about anything that may affect your skin before your appointment so we can determine whether waxing is appropriate.
